How it works

Design 101

1. Download the RYZ Shoe Template

   Visit the RYZ Templates page and download the current shoe template for the competition.

2. Design Your Shoe

   Open the RYZ shoe template in your graphical design tool of choice (visit Aviary.com if you do not have a tool - they have an awesome online tool). Review the step by step instructions on the template. Don't worry about staying in the lines as we'll cut out the pieces for you - please do remember to fill in the color swatches for solid color areas of your design.

3. Save and Upload Your Design

   When you're ready, save your design file in a flattened PNG format. Do not crop or resize the image as our RYZ shoe creator will not work properly. Upload your designs to your personal workspace on our website. (You'll need to register first.) We’ll turn your file into your very own RYZ virtual shoe. (Cool!) You can revise your design as much as you like, delete your old designs, and when you’re ready…

4. Submit Your Design

   And you’re off! Submit your design for the entire world to critique. Make sure you solicit and review feedback - make revisions and delete old submitted designs in your Contest Portfolio.

5. Vote

   Remember, the winner is chosen by your peers – so make sure to have your family and friends vote.

6. Many Ways to Win

   See the current contest rules for winning prizes and requirements. If our retail partners select your design, you will receive $250 for shoes and $100 for other apparel and merchandise. So many ways to make money - and most importantly gain designer immortality.
