I was reminded of the days when you would sit down at the lunch table, friends surrounding you and open your brown bag to find what your mom packed you. The design was made using torn paper bags then scanned into the computer and edited together. There are pieces of tape in an almost plaid pattern. If you were to imagine that a brown bag was in fact the shoe, you can notice that each side correlates to the bag itself. The Medial and Lateral are the large portions of a bag, with the tongue and Heel being the sides (if you look closely you will notice the folds). The Outer Sole is the bottom of the bag and inside the shoe are all those lunch items that were packed up.

  1. that's sweet! oh man, i wish we could see the sock liner better. i can see a whole line of these with different things inside.. food, booze, bicycle parts, you name it... great design concept!

  2. Yeah, thats one part I am not a huge fan of with the renderings. Don't get me wrong its probably the coolest peice of web-based software I have come across in a long time. But I wish it was maybe a true 3-D peice that you could rotate, zoom in on and move around. There are more food items in the shoe. A PB&J, bag of chips, gummy snacks, napkins. You just can only see the "faux-pri Sun" in there.
