   Needs more to break up the side of the shoe. A simple one color pattern, design or shape on the out side of the shoe to break up the repetition of the pattern. This is where companies like Nike, Addidas, Puma, Asics, NB etc. would use their company logo to bring the shoe together. (Yo RYZ, sorry to name drop.) If you did a version with an iconic or self made image I feel it would really bring the shoe together and show more creativity at the same time.

   ALPH is 100% wrong! This shoe is so cool, but adding a gap would just muddy the effect. Yeah Nike has a swoosh, but I would never buy a Nike because I love designs and hate logos.
