My design is an ode to a time when TV station's actually signed-off for the night while playing the National Anthem and displaying the image of Marines planting the American flag atop of Mount Suribachi right before going to static. This usually occurred after a back-to-back episode of Love Connection. It's a tribute to growing up in the 70s, being a latch key kid, watching WAY too much television and to Poltergeist fans everywhere. "Do NOT go into the light."

This design is inspired by the past and current conflicts in Africa. It weaves machine guns, shields and the silhouette of Africa into a multi-colored camouflage. The bright colors represent hope for peace throughout the continent and specifically for the children of Uganda who’s needs have remained invisible.

The Owl is a symbol for mastery of wisdom, environment, and survival. No matter the hour, night or day, owls are not to be trifled with. Carrying talons of steel, eyes of a telescope and a jaw the cracks bones; the Creep is a metaphor rising to remind all who wander the earth below that there exists a greater all-seeing eye. Lurking in the space directly between where you stand and the blinding light of the sun, the owl watches us, while we can only glimpse fluttering moments of a shadow breaking away. The sole of a shark is tearing at the pink flesh of lesser fish. A shark, predator of the sea, an owl of the great oceans, grey meandering death scents the blood of the lost. Teeth set to break, replaced by the fittest, only the strong survive. Survival directs us to the matriarch, mother earth, mother elephant, master of the lost drinking well. Listen to your mother and water will dwell below. Rise to the surface and drink the water.
